Application of Sliding Glass Doors
Sliding glass doors are very popular in Southern Europe and throughout
the United States. They are used with great success in hotel rooms and condos,
as well as in residences. Sliding glass doors are very effective when you exit
to the balcony on the top floor, and when you exit to the balcony, you can
enjoy a panoramic view from the upstairs.
Sliding glass doors are also used where there is an opportunity and
desire to create enhanced natural lighting, as well as to increase access to
fresh air.
In many regions, sliding glass doors are commonly used to exit the inner
rooms of a house to the patio, to the terrace, to the garden, to the backyard,
to the barbecue area, or to the pool. In this context, sliding glass doors are
often called patio doors.
Sliding glass doors are used in interior design, often in offices and in
car sales outlets. They are great for creating soundproof, but visually
accessible parts of office space.
The Doors, Suitable for Use in Public Places |
Inside residential premises, they are often made of translucent frosted
glass, in the style of a traditional Shoji door, to allow daylight to penetrate
further into the dwelling and expand the sense of interior space.
On railway platforms, special sliding glass doors, called “platform
doors”, are used to protect and secure the waiting passengers.
